Sarah White is the District Director

Sarah White, Pharm.D is a clinical specialist in drug information at Emory Healthcare.  She spends most of her time engaged in formulary management activities, policy and protocol development, and coordinating drug shortage plans for the system.  She also serves as an active member of several hospital committees including secretary of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees for Emory University Hospital (EUH) and Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM), chair of the system-wide Formulary Implementation Group, and chair of the EUH Drug Shortage Team, among others.  She precepts all of the PGY1 pharmacy residents at EUH and EUHM and was recently awarded “2016 Pharmacist of the Year” at EUH.

Prior to her time at Emory, Sarah graduated from Wingate University School of Pharmacy and went on to complete a PGY1 in medical information at Fresenius Medical Care and Wingate University School of Pharmacy.  She then completed a PGY2 in drug information at Duke University Hospital and GlaxoSmithKline before accepting her current position at Emory.  Sarah became a member of GSHP in 2015 and has enjoyed participating in the Northeast Metro District Meetings and conferences throughout the year.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking, reading, exercising, wine tasting, and spending time with friends and family.  She also loves to try unique new restaurants in the Atlanta area.
