Topic:              Clinical Controversy of Corticosteroids in Sepsis

 

Objectives:

1.        Explain the basic pathophysiology and treatment of sepsis and shock.

2.        Describe the current recommendations and limitations of corticosteroid use in sepsis and shock.

3.        Analyze recent literature for corticosteroid use in sepsis and shock.

4.        Develop an evidence-based plan for corticosteroid use in a patient with sepsis and shock.
