South Metro West Georgia District consists of South Fulton County, McDonough, Griffin, Peachtree City, Douglasville and the surrounding area.
Celeste Fowler is the current district director.
Celeste Fowler, Pharm.D, HCMBA is currently the Director of Pharmacy at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia. She first joined Piedmont Henry Hospital as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy in 2008. As Director, she is responsible for the efficient operation of the hospital pharmacy. She establishes standards of quality, productivity, and performance in accordance with facility policies and procedures and requirements of State and Federal regulatory agencies. Celeste is responsible for the operation of Pharmacy services, including strategic planning, day-to-day operations, pharmaceutical care, clinical and distributive services, financial management, legal responsibility and personnel management.
She integrates pharmaceutical services with other hospital departments and the medical staff to establish a multidisciplinary approach to improving patient care. Her primary goal is to develop, justify, lead and manage pharmacy programs and services to improve patient care.
Celeste received her Doctor of Pharmacy, cum laude, from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Business Minor from Florida State University. She obtained her MBA in Healthcare from The George Washington University. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, in addition to Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Although spare time is limited, Celeste is active in her community by working closely with youth organizations and her local church.
