Practice achievements: Dr. DeRemer main disease focuses have been optimizing anticoagulation processes and in-patient insulin use. She has been an active member of GSHP and has been awarded the Outstanding Pharmacy Practitioner Award in 2009 and 2015, along with Outstanding Committee Chair for Education Committee in 2015. Recently she has been appointed Vice Chair of the Educational Steering Committee with ASHP Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners and recognized as a Fellow of ASHP in 2016. She has precepted more than 30 residents in both ambulatory and internal medicine areas and more than 100 students focusing on innovative clinical exposure. She has been nominated twice for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Master Preceptor Recognition Program and has been awarded the Preceptor of the Year from UGA College of Pharmacy in 2008 and 2013.
