1)     Identify common pathogens for patients with hospital and healthcare acquired pneumonia

2)     Discuss empiric treatment guidelines for patients at high and low risk for bacterial resistance

3)     Discuss treatment options for patients with multi-drug resistant organisms

4)     Explain the rationale behind the recommendations for duration of antibiotic treatment in patients with hospital or healthcare acquired pneumonia
